OVERVIEW The experienced management team comprises one of the Company’s most valuable assets. This group of industry-accredited professionals, most of whom have held their professional designations for over 25 years, possess the knowledge and experience necessary to implement American Mining Corporation’s strategic growth plan to its fullest potential. American Mining Corporation has assembled an experienced Board of Directors and management team with proven records of successful exploration and development. This group has been selected in particular for its knowledge and experience of mining in the U.S. The Company recognizes four categories of management for purposes of internal controls and efficiency: Board of Directors, Executive Management, Milling, Metallurgical, and Engineering Operations Team, and Exploration Team. DIRECTORS & OFFICERS Gary MacDonald: Director, President, CEO Mr. MacDonald currently resides on the board of several Canadian-based public and private exploration and mining companies with extensive domestic and international projects. He hails from the fifth generation of a mining family and possesses a wide knowledge of mining practices. Mr. MacDonald has also worked with several financial and venture capital organizations over the past 20 years, including partnerships at Obelisk International Ltd. and Astra Capital Corp, with operations in Canada, US, Europe, and Asia. He has experience in investment management and banking, mergers and acquisitions, institutional financings, corporate and capital structuring, and tax efficiencies. Some recent directorships of Canadian publicly listed companies are: Consolidated AGX Resources Corp (now Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp), Cierra Pacific Ventures Ltd., Tapango Resources Ltd., Tapestry Resource Corp., Harlow Ventures Inc., Glengarry Developments Inc (JV w/ Valley High Ventures), an in-depth account of Mr. MacDonald’s achievements may be provided upon request. Mr. MacDonald is also a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME). George Petker: Director, Vice President Business Development Mr. Petker also noted for 40 years of industry achievements works with AMC to several key capacities, from Business Development to overseeing the General Management of the Milling operations in its entirety. Mr. Petker also works with Kappas Cassidy (independent contract business development which also encompasses Milling contracts); development, installation, and operations. Mr. Petker has been instrumental to AMC and has procured the milling opportunities we have in place today.
Susan Mitchell: Independent Director, Oversight Committee Susan J. Mitchell, provides strategic corporate finance advice and financial oversight, building on her 20+ years experience and accomplishments in mining finance. She has held responsibilities in major mining companies such as Director, Treasury of Cyprus Amax Minerals Company and played leadership roles at financial institutions (such as WestLB as Managing Director, Metals and Mining, Global Structured Finance and as Senior Manager, Corporate Finance at CIBC). Her business development and risk analytical techniques were further honed in Risk Solutions, Standard & Poors prior to building her own Corporate Finance Advisory business for junior mining and other natural resource companies. She sits on the Advisory Board of several public and private gold and rare earths junior mining companies. She holds a BA (Economics) from McGill University and Masters of International Management (MIM) from Thunderbird, American Graduate School of International Management, and is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME). Scott Blanset: Chief Engineer Scott Blanset oversees the engineering and operations of the Mills, he has an extensive background of operations and setup of complex Mill systems throughout Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and California. He has been conducting the dismantling, transport and setup of the mills and furnace at Silver Peak (he had previously been the primary operator of one of the mills, the Denver pilot and plasma furnace). Mr. Blanset has assembled an operations team for Silver Peak, Armargosa, and the Miller Site, (a number of the trades personnel had previously worked at the original Silver Peak and Miller Sites. ZK Zarif: Project Manager Since 1977 Mr. Zarif has been with ABB (Asea Brown Boveri), Baden, Switzerland working in several continents mainly: Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Central/South America. Mr. Zarif has over 30-years experience in the international industrial business world. He has had extensive and progressive expertise in the power generation, mining, building materials industries, heavy industrial construction, pulp & paper industry, oil & gas (upstream and downstream) and the automotive industry. He has been a consultant for a major gold companies worldwide. Mr. Zarif holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Applied Science in Bern, Switzerland and an EE MBA from Duke University, NC-USA. Mr. Zarif is an SME (Society of Mining Engineers) member and the IEEE (Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers) as a senior member and committee associate.
ADVISORS: Blain Wilson: President, COO Klondex Mines Ltd. Blane Wilson has over 24 years of
experience managing milling and processing operations. Chris Christopherson: Advisor, Umpire Assayer Umpire Assayer / Corporate Secretary: Herbert (Chris) Christopherson has over 35 years of direct experience in the mining and metals refining industry. He is recognized as an Umpire Assayer by such companies as; Cominco, Hecla, PanAmerican Silver, Asarco, Stillwater Mining, and others.
Additional Professionals and Consultants are contracted by the Company on an on-going and project-by-project basis. Information on additional personnel is available upon request. |
