MANAGEMENT

The experienced management team comprises one of the Company’s most valuable assets. This group of industry-accredited professionals, most of whom have held their professional designations for over 25 years, possess the knowledge and experience necessary to implement American Mining Corporation’s strategic growth plan to its fullest potential.

American Mining Corporation has assembled an experienced Board of Directors and management team with proven records of successful exploration and development. This group has been selected in particular for its knowledge and experience surrounding mining in the U.S. The Company recognizes four categories of management for purposes of internal controls and efficiency: Board of Directors, Executive Management, Development Team, and ExplorationTeam.

 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS


Gary MacDonald: Director, CEO, Chairman, Founder
Mr. MacDonald currently resides on the board of several Canadian-based public and private exploration and mining companies with extensive domestic and international projects. He hails from the fifth generation of a mining family and possesses a wide knowledge of current and historical mining practices.  Mr. MacDonald has also worked with several financial and venture capital organizations over the past 20 years, including partnerships at Obelisk International Ltd. and Astra Capital Corp, with operations in Canada, US, Europe, and Asia.  He has experience in investment management and banking, mergers and acquisitions, institutional financings, corporate and capital structuring, and tax efficiencies. Some recent directorships of Canadian publicly listed companies are: Consolidated AGX Resources Corp (now Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp), Cierra Pacific Ventures Ltd., Tapango Resources Ltd., Tapestry Resource Corp., Harlow Ventures Inc., Glengarry Developments Inc (JV w/ Valley High Ventures), an in-depth account of Mr. MacDonald’s achievements may be provided upon request. Mr. MacDonald is also a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME).

Greg Schifrin: Director, President, Director of Exploration & Environmental Affairs
Mr. Schifrin has been working in the mineral and mining exploration industries since 1982. Mr. Schifrin is a registered geologist in Washington State. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Idaho in 1983, and performed graduate study at the University of Montana in 1992. Mr. Schifrin is the President and a founder of Minex Exploration, an exploration Service Company since 1985. In 27 years of mineral exploration Mr. Schifrin has worked with many companies in discovering and advancing mining projects throughout North America. He brings experience in exploration for gold, silver, base metals, platinum group metals, industrial minerals and uranium.  Mr. Schifrin is also President and a director of Silver Verde May Mining Company, a one hundred year old Couer d’Alene District exploration and mining company. In addition Mr. Schifrin is a founder and officer of Selkirk Environmental Inc., an environmental consulting firm where he has worked with industry and governmental agencies facilitating permitting, operation plans, risk analysis and environmental compliance and assessment since 1992.

INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Martin Clemets: Independent Director, Geological Consultant
Mr. Clemets has vast knowledge in all aspects of mining. His 30 year career record consists of the development of exploration targets and new concepts for the successful exploration and discoveries of precious metals and mineral deposits throughout the United States. He has successfully acquired properties with considerable achievement from U.S. State, Federal, and private landowners and has been highly instrumental in the negotiations and resolution of complex legal land issues. Mr. Clemets is renowned in the industry for his accomplishments ranging from acquisition to completion. He was an advisor to the Bureau of Land Management, serving as a direct appointment by the Secretary of the Interior. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Applied Science from the University of Idaho. His past employment includes Gulf Resources, Hecla, and Kinross Gold Company. Mr. Clemets has studied geology at the University of Idaho and has ample experience and knowledge regarding gold and silver deposits in the western United States and Canada. 

Ian Brown: Independent Director, Exploration Consultant 
Mr. Brown is a "hands on" exploration geologist with more than 35 years exploration experience, including 16 years in the corporate sector. He has initiated and managed exploration programs in more than 38 countries spanning every continent with the exception of Antarctica. As exploration manager he has been recognized for several major discoveries worldwide. He has participated in international exploration programs for diamonds, gold, nickel and other metalliferous commodities. Mr. Brown graduated in 1971 from the Royal School of Mines, London with an honours degree in mining geology. He obtained his PhD form Imperial College, London in 1975 for research in Geochemical Exploration and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and is a Professional Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

 

ADVISORY BOARD

Jeff Lamberson: Advisor, Finance Consultant
Mr. Lamberson has over 20 years tenure in the Financial Services arena. He has xerved on the board of several public and private companies which cover a wide range of industries. Mr. Lamberson currently advises to other mining companies.

J. Edward Short, esq.: Advisor, Attorney
J. Edward Short received his B.A. from the Gonzaga University in Political Science and International Studies (1991) and his Juris Doctorate from Willamette University School of Law with a Certificate of Dispute Resolution (1995).  Mr. Short is licensed to practice law in the State of Washington and specializes in land use and development. Mr. Short currently serves on the Board of Directors and advises several Mining Companies based in Idaho’s silver Valley.

Chris Christopherson: Advisor, Umpire Assayer
Umpire Assayer / Corporate Secretary: Herbert (Chris) Christopherson has over 35 years of direct experience in the mining and metals refining industry. He is recognized as an Umpire Assayer by such companies as; Cominco, Hecla, PanAmerican Silver, Asarco, Sitllwater Mining, and others.

 

Additional Geologists are contracted by the Company on an on-going and project-by-project basis.

Advisors – Audit Committee Board: The Company is currently selecting additional industry professionals to act as Officers and Management and to reside on its Advisory Panel.
